The Alliance Wendland GMO-free "invites for Wednesday, 11 February for a public information session on genetic engineering one. On the evening in Lüchower evangelical community center, four speakers different aspects of the dangers of genetic manipulation, and the possibilities of resistance however, represent.

Dr. Christian student, a researcher at the University in Witzenhausen speaks with Department of Organic Agriculture and plant production on the risks of genetic engineering in agriculture. Martin Schulz, a farmer from Quickborn of the Small Farmers' Association will report on the further development of GMO-free regions in northern Germany. The risks for honey production are the subject of bee champion Marc Otte from Beutow. Rounding out the event by Gwendolyn Jobst, an activist Wendland, the "away gendreck" in the nationwide initiative is active. The event will culminate in a discussion of how the resistance against Wendland to continue the cultivation of GM maize.

The event will be held on Wednesday, 11 February 2009 at 19.30 clock in the Protestant community center rather than at the St. John's Church, Lüchow.
